Pennies for Pearl Harbor

Pennies for Pearl Harbor is a school/community based fundraising and service project which is a part of the nationwide effort to build the new Museum and Visitor Center at the USS Arizona Memorial. The program was started as a way for teachers to combine classroom instruction about World War II with an activity which could teach students the importance of community service and preserving our nation’s history

Teachers who register for the program receive a kit of materials to start a “Pennies for Pearl Harbor” program.  The kit and donation box remain in the classroom for at least a month, and teachers and students collect donations of pennies and spare change daily. The "Pennies for Pearl Harbor" coordinator will work with Pennies participants to tailor the program to their particular needs.

Upon completion of the program participants will be listed on the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund's Pennies for Pearl Harbor page.
